Collection and Use of Your Information
ETM, Inc. will only collect your personal information (such as your name, address, or telephone number) if you provide it to us voluntarily.
In addition, we automatically collect certain information regarding visitors to our Site, including information about your equipment, your computer’s IP Address (when available), browsing actions and usage patterns. The information we collect automatically is statistical data and does not include personal information. We use this information solely for internal purposes, such as to improve our Site.
Our Site uses Analytics tools and Interest Reporting to help us understand, in aggregate, the age, gender and interests of Site visitors. The tools do not reveal to ETM, Inc. your name or other identifying information. ETM, Inc. does not combine the information collected through use of Analytics tools with personal information. The information received from Analytics tools are used only to improve our Site and the type of information displayed to Site visitors so we can better serve those interested in ETM’s products and services.
ETM, Inc. works with an advertising agency and occasionally hires other companies to provide services on our behalf, for example, to inform clients of scheduled or emergency maintenance timelines, legislative changes, and new or updated products and services related to unclaimed property compliance. ETM, Inc. will provide these companies only with the information they need to deliver the services, and they are contractually prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.
At any time, while accessing our Site, any visitor may decline participation in any activity that would require providing information (e.g. Request for Information). Your decision not to participate will not affect your ability to use any other feature on our Site.
ETM, Inc. offers you opportunities to engage in blogs, and social networks like Facebook and Twitter that are designed to be visible to other users, including comments and postings. You should be aware that any personally identifiable information you choose to submit via those media can be read, collected, and used by other participants and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit when you engage in such activities.
Customer Data Added to ETM’s Applications
As part of ETM’s services, customers may load data into our servers. ETM will not share or distribute any such customer data except as provided in the contractual agreement between ETM and the customer, or as may be required by law. ETM’s use of this data is limited to the purpose of providing services to which the customer has agreed to.
ETM has no direct ownership or control over data the customer provides as part of the service offering. ETM may access customer data for the purposes of providing services and providing technical assistance. Customers are responsible for complying with any regulations or laws that require notices to individuals whose data may be added to ETM’s servers. The customer is responsible for obtaining consent prior to submitting data to ETM’s applications and servers.
Any requests for disclosure of information from law enforcement will be directed to ETM’s customer, unless ETM is legally required to disclose information.
All requests for data removal should be directed to ETM’s customer. A request may be made to ETM directly if the customer has not responded to the request.
ETM, Inc. has implemented a number of security features to help prevent the unauthorized release of or access to personal information. Although we strive to create a secure and reliable Site for you, the confidentiality of any communication or material transmitted to or from ETM, Inc. via the Site or email cannot be guaranteed.
There are certain situations in which personal information will be disclosed, such as the following:
